Medical Student Wins Miss Wales 2007
Medical student is Miss Wales 2007
Kelly Pesticcio – a 23 year old medical student from Cardiff – has been crowned Miss Wales 2007.
She was awarded the title at a sell-out event in Cardiff in July. Second place went to Sarah Walters from Swansea, while Yasmine Baig from Wenvoe came third.
In a bid to match the Miss World ethos of beauty with a purpose, Kelly, along with 39 other finalists spent their three months in the run up to the competition fundraising for charity.
Miss Wales organiser, Paula Abbandonato, said: “Kelly will now spend her year juggling her Miss Wales studies with her final year in medicine. By the time she hands over her crown she will be Dr Pesticcio and we wish her all the luck in the world with both her studies and her reign.”
