Hannah's Beauty With A Purpose Tour

Miss Wales, Hannah Williams, will fly to China on Thursday to take part in the annual Miss World contest. Her last duty before going has been to distribute to charity the funds raised by the 2017 Miss Wales finalists. Named her Beauty with A Purpose tour, Hannah – who is 24 and lives in Bridgend - has spent recent days visiting a variety of children’s charities in South Wales to present the money. First stop was the Tiny Lives Appeal run by Noah’s Ark at the University Hospital of Wales which was gifted £8,000 by the Miss Wales organisation. Next Hannah visited Y Bont, a Bridgend charity which helps disabled children and their families, where Hannah donated £2,000. Finally, Hannah stopped off at the children’s ward at the Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend to give them £2,500. A further £5,000 from the 2017 Miss Wales fundraising efforts will also go to Hope House, a children’s hospice in North Wales. Hannah is a business studies graduate of Cardiff University and manages the responsibilities of being Miss Wales along with a career in technology as a sourcing manager for Sony in Pencoed.
